CPSIA Compliant
The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) requires importers and manufacturers of children’s products, such as plush, to comply with relevant documentation, labeling, and third-party testing requirements.
It does not matter whether the purchaser intends the plush product to be given only to adults. Plush is classified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as a “toy” intended for children aged 12 years and younger and must meet appropriate requirements.
ASTM F963 is the standard that covers all toys entering the U.S. market and has been a model for international standards. All toys and children's products must comply with a series of mechanical, chemical, and flammability specifications.
Items marked CPSIA compliant require specific tracking information to be present to identify the origin in the event of product recall.
Labeling Requirements
All stuffed animals and plush toys sold in the U.S. must feature the following information on a permanently affixed tracking label:
- Manufacturer or private labeler name.
- Location and date of production of the product.
- Detailed information on the manufacturing process, such as a batch or run number, or other identifying characteristics.
- Any other information to facilitate ascertaining the specific source of the product.
- Tracking label information should be visible and legible.
Plush is measured overall.

We cannot sell plush without accessories or only accessories.
Any plush accessories cannot be purchased separately, accessories must accompany an animal, and the animal should be dressed. This is in compliance with CPSIA. Plush cannot be sold without an accessory (naked). Orders must include the animal plush accessory.

Follow these simple guidelines:
- • Animals must be within the same Product ID
- • Imprint, imprint location & imprint color must remain the same
- • Order must include the same accessory (i.e. cannot mix bandanas & t-shirts)
- • Total order quantity meets the item minimum
- • No minimum per animal or accessory color
STEP 1: IDEA – A picture, description, or drawing.
If you have artwork or a logo, please provide at the time of quoting.
STEP 2: HOW MANY & HOW BIG – Please advise size, quantity, and decoration method. Target price is always helpful!
- Once received, it’s approximately 3-5 days to receive a quote.
STEP 3: RENDERING – If pricing and quantities are confirmed:
- Allow 5-10 business days for a virtual proof.
- Price quoted includes CPSIA testing 0+ and pre-production sample.
STEP 4: PREPRODUCTION PROOF & ORDER – Approve your virtual proof or preproduction sample and place your order.
- Physical preproduction samples take approximately 30-45 days.
- Production begins on approval of preproduction samples.
- If preproduction sample is made and order does not result, a $250 sample fee will result.
STEP 5: PRODUCTION – Allow 90-120 days for final production after all approvals.
